Kira Sledge is a sophomore MT from Houston, Texas who is thrilled to be making her directional debut! Being able to work creatively on such an incredibly powerful show has been so fulfilling and I can't wait for you all to see it! She’s so thrilled to continue her journey here at SU, and expresses endless gratitude to her incredible director, Ben Eble, this amazing cast, the Hornets Nest Board, and her MT28’ family!! Griffin Small (Birdlace)

Griffin Small is so pumped to be in this amazing production of Dogfight! This is his second show with Hornets Nest, the first being Tick… Tick… BOOM! He wants to thank his family, friends, class (Cmon 28!) and everyone who has ever supported him. He hopes you enjoy the show and that you have one hell of a time!

Morgan Smith (Rose)

Morgan Smith is so incredibly blessed and thankful to be part of Dogfight and to play a role she has dreamed of playing for so long. She is a sophomore Musical Theatre major here at Shenandoah and has been having a blast getting to work alongside her peers. Morgan would like to thank the cast, crew, friends, family and her professors for the never ending support along this journey. <3

Aidan Espinosa (Stevens)

Aidan auditioned for this show cause he likes dogs. He is very confused about all of this war stuff, he is in the midst of writing a sequel called cat tussle, which is about the life of homeless cats as they brawl and find out who’s a real cat and who’s a human dressed up in a cat costume. This touching new musical rivals Andrew Lloyd Webbers “Cats” with exciting new songs such as “You Kitten me Right Meow?”, “Whiskers Sipping on Whiskey”, and “The Great Bombing” on Apple Music streaming now!

Stella Rose Hoyt (Mama/Others

Stella is a freshman here at Shenandoah originally from Chicago, Illinois. Stella was honored to make her main stage debut last semester as Rona in Spelling Bee. Some other theatrical credits include: Fun Home at Victory Gardens Theatre (Small Alison), Sound of Music at Beverly Arts Center (Liesl Von Trapp), The Play that Goes Wrong at Theatre at the Center (Annie), Miracle on 34th Street at Theatre at the Center (Susan Walker), and Mean Girls at The Drama Group (Regina George). Stella graduated from Homewood Flossmoor High School, where she was nominated for the 2024 and 2025 IHSMTA best actress award for her performance as Little Sally in Urinetown and Delilah McPhee in Between The Lines. Stella was a three year cast member of the Illinois All-State Production, being a featured dancer in Shrek, leading her junior year production of She Kills Monsters as Agnes Evans, and closing out her All-State Journey, as Emma Nolan in The Prom. Stella has been in Speech for 4 years, and was the 2024 and 2025 IHSA Speech State Champion in Dramatic Interpretation, becoming one of the most decorated speech competitors in Illinois history.

Marni Gass (Librarian/ Ruth Thomas)

Marni Gass is a freshman musical theater major here at Shenandoah and is elated to be in her first Hornets nest production! Marni was recently seen as Lucy Shmeeler in On The Town here at Shenandoahs fall MainStage. Her favorite roles she played includes, Winnifred in Once Upon a Mattress, Donna in Mamma Mia and many more! She would like to thank her cast mates and her director and assistant director Ben and Kira!

Konnor Sheffield-Colbert (Lounge Singer/Drag Queen/Patron/Sergant/Waiter/Big Tony)

Konnor is so excited for the opportunity to play all of these awesome roles with his favorite being Big Tony! Konnor has also been seen as Roger in Rent, Nigel in Something Rotten, and Mitch Mahoney Understudy in Shenandoah's production of Spelling Bee. Konnor thanks his friends, family, and Shenco Staff for all of their support!

Meet the TECHNiCaL TEAM

Jessica Endrick (Properties Supervisor, Costume Designer)

Jessica Endrick is a sophomore at Shenandoah University, majoring in Media and Communication, minoring in Theatre and working towards both Scenic Design and Costume Design certificates. Jessica is excited to be the Properties Supervisor and Costume Designer for Hornets' Nest's production of Dogfight! The first show she worked on at Shenandoah Conservatory was Legally Blonde: The Musical as a run crew member. Since then, she has worked on shows such as Monty Python’s Spamalot, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, and more! She also worked as a Run Crew Intern for Shenandoah Summer Music Theatre this past summer, where she worked on Singin’ in the Rain, Little Women, and Million Dollar Quartet. Jessica is so excited for you to see all the hard work that has gone into this production come to life! You're in store for some kinda time!

Ashlee Round (A1)

Ashlee Round is a first-year Theatre Design and Production student, with an emphasis in Sound Design and Reinforcement, from Sterling, Virginia. She is very excited to work with Hornet's Nest again for Dogfight! Previously at Shenandoah, Round was the Assistant Sound Designer for Our Town, and A2'd The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and Catch Me If You Can. She previously worked with Hornet's Nest on Ride The Cyclone as the Lighting Designer. Outside of Shenandoah, her other design credits include Hairspray, Sweeney Todd, Hadestown, Curtains, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, and The Crucible. Her upcoming credits include Misery, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, and Machinal.

Evan Gray (Guitarist)

Evan Gray (Guitar) is grateful to be working with the cast and crew of DOGFIGHT. Evan is a senior Musical Theatre major from Jacksonville, FL. Previous guitar credits at Shenandoah include CATCH ME IF YOU CAN, TICK, TICK… BOOM! And WORKING. He would like to thank his Mom and Dad, Grace, and all of his family and friends for their constant support, as well as Katie Hicks and Zoie Foster for giving him this opportunity!
